It is a great year for Young Artists. Congratulations to JG Entertainment artist Macy Medfordfor winning the 2012 Dallas Songwriters Song Contest.
Macy and Jonathan were the Grand Prize Winners in one of the longest running international song contests for amateur songwriters. Their song 'Just Me and You' took home the gold in the 22nd Annual DSA Competition.
Katy native and #LAMusicAwards Pop Artist of the Year nominee, Macy Medfordwill be performing and walking at the Waves of Impact Walk A Thon at the Katy Mills Mall this Saturday at 8am. Registration is happening RIGHT NOW! See ya there!
Jonathan George is Partner and Creative Director of Hollywood Launch LA. Hollywood Launch develops and brands aspiring artists into Top Triple Threat Talent. Wayne Brady Scholarship Auditions will be held on December 8th at The Rage in Granada Hills, Ca.
Macy Medford shows her true colors by performing the National Anthem and Half-time show at the Houston Stallions Indoor Football Game. She also got the chance to snap a picture with Mayor Don Elder, Jr and the team mascot. Macy said, "All in all it was a pretty sweet day!"

CD Release Party and Red Carpet Event at Stereo Live
HOUSTON, TX (February 8, 2012) –JG Entertainment and Stereo Live hosted the CD release party and red carpet event for Macy Medford’s debut album, Crazy ‘Bout You, on Saturday, January 28th. Guests walked the red carpet and enjoyed a live performance of songs from her album. JG Entertainment’s president Jonathan George, stated “The night was a huge success! We had over 500 screaming fans and they waited for nearly 2 hours in line to take photos with Macy and to get her autograph.”
Macy was recently nominated for Pop Artist of the Year at the 21st Annual LA Music Awards held at the Avalon Theatre in Hollywood, CA. She caught the attention of Al Bowman, president of LAMA at the famed Whiskey a Go Go where star artists such as Jim Morrison & The Doors got their big break. President Al Bowman stated, “Her music is so fresh and new....and she is such a dynamic girl!” He went on to say, “We are so proud to have her as a nominee this year!”
Macy’s first single, “Just Me and You” hit international radio it’s first week of being released and also went straight to number one on the Tween Pop Radio charts. It was the first song to ever debut and hit number one the same week. She also released a music video to the hit song, which was shot at Marilyn Monroe’s house in Studio City, CA.
In the past week Macy performed at the Avalon in Hollywood, CA for the launching of www.LoveIsRespect.org with Ashley Greene of Twilight and Joe Biden. She also appeared on FOX’s special FOX Rocks with Ruben Dominguez.
Macy was born and raised in Katy, TX and is a 14 year old advanced honor freshman student at Seven Lakes High School. She spends a lot of time going back and forth from LA to record and work on her music career. Macy says, “I’m really excited for people to hear what I have been working on for the past 2 years.”
