Macy Medford CD Release Party and Red Carpet Event
Houston’s Own Macy Medford to Host CD Release Party and Red Carpet Event at Stereo Live
Houston, TX (January 10, 2011) –JG Entertainment is excited to announce the CD release party and red carpet event for Macy Medford’s debut album, Crazy ‘Bout You, on Saturday, January 28th. Guests are invited to walk the red carpet beginning at 6:30 pm and must RSVP at RSVP@macymedford.com. Macy will perform songs from her album starting at 7:30 pm, followed by a CD signing and after party. The event will be held at Stereo Live, 6400 Richmond Ave in Houston, TX.
Macy was recently nominated for Pop Artist of the Year at the 21stAnnual LA Music Awards held at the Avalon Theatre in Hollywood, CA. She caught the attention of Al Bowman, president of LAMA at the famed Whiskey a Go Go where star artists such as Jim Morrison & The Doors got their big break. President Al Bowman stated, “Her music is so fresh and new….and she is such a dynamic girl!” He went on to say, “We are so proud to have her as a nominee this year!”
Macy’s first single, “Just Me and You” hit international radio it’s first week of being released and also went straight to number one on the Tween Pop Radio charts. It was the first song to ever debut and hit number one the same week. She also released a music video to the hit song, which was shot at Marilyn Monroe’s house in Studio City, CA.
Macy was born and raised in Katy, TX and is a 14 year old advanced honor freshman student at Seven Lakes High School. She spends a lot of time going back and forth from LA to record and work on her music career. Macy says, “I’m really excited for people to hear what I have been working on for the last year and a half.”
Party-goers can purchase the CD at the event rather than waiting for the album to hit iTunes February 7. The album is distributed through Tate Music Group.Influenced by jazz, pop and R&B, the CD is full of jazz infused pop tracks, which transcends all ages. With mature and seasoned writing skills, Macy co-wrote all of the songs on the album delivering catchy hooks you can’t get out of your head.

We are so proud of our very own Zack Montana for taking first runner up in Disney's NBT. He is one of the hardest working artists we know and never gives less than 150% on the stage. Here is a little info on Zack and his story.
While taking vocal lessons with Jonathan George, he decided that music was his passion. Jonathan saw the passion and talent in Zack and included him in a star studded performing troup called " Hollywood Hipstars". Seven months later Zack signed a production deal with Jonathan to be in a boy band called Boyz Crew. After a month of rehearsals and a few live shows, Boyz Crew received a record deal from Vincent Herbert of Streamline Records.
The following year and a half had Boyz Crew developing and working with Grammy Award winning producer's Dre' and Vidal. After the group disbanded, Zack recorded a 4 song EP.
In April 2011, Zack took a general meeting with Disney and was offered to be part of Radio Disney's Next Big Thing. He toured around the Country and played in many venues stealing the hearts of pre-teens and teens across the country and even in Europe and Asia. Zack ended up finishing first runner up in the 2011 Radio Disney NBT and opened for Cody Simpson at The Americana at Brand held Dec 7th, 2011.

Hosted by the Massey brothers, Chris (Zoey 101) and Kyle (That's So Raven, Corey in the House, Dancing with the Stars), the show carried an upbeat party atmosphere. Celebrity DJ Spark was a permanent fixture on stage keeping the crowd hyped with a continual party. Teen Wolf's Tyler Posey and his band Lost in Kostko kicked off the show with a rocking performance of their newest single, "Somebody". The dance community was also represented with performances by today's hottest dancers and dance groups from So You Think You Can Dance, Paula Abdul's Live to Dance, and America's Best Dance Crew.
Executive Producer Jonathan George of Jonathan George Entertainment stated "I created this show to pay homage to the amazingly talented young singers, actors and dancers who continually entertain us on a daily basis. They deserve to be celebrated." Some of the winners include TWILIGHT: Eclipse, which won two awards: Rockin' Ensemble Cast in Film; and Booboo Stewart (who starred as Seth Clearwater) won the award for Rockin' Sidekick TV/Film. Teen Wolf also took two awards: one for Rockin Ensemble Cast in TV/ Drama and it's star, Tyler Posey won the award for Rockin' Actor in TV.
The show partnered with My Life My Power, an non-profit organization founded by undefeated heavy-weight MMA fighter and WWE Million Dollar Tough Enough Champion, Daniel Puder. In addition to anti-bullying, MLMP's mission is to provide a positive approach, raise awareness and self-empowerment of youth through goal setting, mentoring, character building, and leadership. For the event, celebs wore original sterling silver KARMA bracelets custom created by IB Designs, as a personal pledge against bullying.
After the show, guests enjoyed hor'devours, drinks, and dancing in the exclusive VIP after-party sponsored by Coca-Cola. Food and beverages were provided by Polkatots Cupcakes, Marble Pop, Oogie's Gourmet Popcorn, POPChips, Pretzel Crisps, Peace Ice Tea, and a water hydration station by HINT. DJ Spark and 15-year old prodigy DJ KiddLuke provided endless live music to keep guests dancing on the dance floor.

On Thursday March 24,2011, JG Entertainment's own 14-year-old Sir Castanon received his double nomination for Pop Artist of the Year and Pop Single of the Year at the 21stAnnual LA Music Awards Nomination Ceremony held at the famed Whisky A Go-Go on Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles, CA. This legendary venue is where star artists such as Led Zeppelin, Alice Cooper, and The Doors got their big break. Castanon graced the same stage performing five of his original songs just a week prior to the nomination party. Al Bowman, president of LAMA stated, “Sir Castanon is an amazing artist! His music and performance style is very good!” He went on to say, “We are excited to have him as one of our nominees this year!” The 21st Annual LA Music Awards will take place at the Avalon in Hollywood, CA Thursday, November 10th, 2011 at 7:30pm.

JG Entertainment's own, Macy Meford, was one of only a few artists asked to perform at this year's Temecula Valley Film and Music Festival. TVFMF has evolved from a homespun event into an internationally recognized film and music event that continues to be a forum of discovery for new talent and a place for recognition of the most significant names in the film and music industry.
The 17th Annual Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival takes place Sept. 14-18, 2011 at UltraStar Tower 10 in the Tower Plaza Shopping Center. The Festival is presented by Cinema Entertainment Alliance, a non-profit arts and education organization dedicated to celebrating world cinema and music. In 2010 over 300 filmmakers, musicians, producers, directors, writers, judges, composers, arrangers, agents, publicists, cast and crew participated in the Festival, which was attended by more than 18,000 people. Malibu, CA (September 10, 2011) – The 2011 Malibu Music Awards has chosen Kansas City’s own, Sarah McMullen, as the Grand Prize Winner of their Original Songwriting Competition. The Malibu Music Awards celebrate the success, achievements and accomplishments of those who have made a significant contribution to the music industry and the discovery of emerging new talent and upcoming stars. MMA Founder Terence J. Davis said, “Sarah has a promising future. She is very talented.” He went on to say, “We are very excited to have found such a great talent.” The MMA will be held September 24, 2011 at 7:30pm at the Malibu Country Mart in Malibu, CA.
The competition is judged by music industry professionals ranging from top producers all the way to A&R from Sony, Universal, EMI, as well as reps from Live Nation. One of the guest judges is legendary Joel Diamond, 40 year Music Producer, Manager and Songwriter, who has recorded with every artist from Gloria Gaynor to Engelbert Humperdinck and also dominated social network campaigns and won internet competitions to replace Simon Cowell as the next American Idol Judge last year. As part of the winnings, Sarah will be offered a one-year recording contract and distribution deal with Arrival Records that could lead to a longer term if both parties mutually agree.
Sarah is set to perform her original dance song “Skyscraper” during the award ceremony along with many other music legends. The evening will honor Golden Globe, Emmy, Grammy and SAG Award Nominated Actress/Singer Lainie Kazan, Frank Stallone, Robert Davi along with many other celebrities. Honorary Chair is Linda Thompson who is responsible for writing songs with David Foster such as “I Have Nothing” sung by Whitney Houston in The Body Guard as well “No Explanation” for the movie Pretty Woman. As part of the week’s festivities, Sarah will also be performing at the infamous Malibu Inn located on “Billionaire’s Beach” on Thursday September 22nd.
Over the last year and a half, the 16-year old honor student at Blue Valley North High School has won Pop Artist of the Year at the LA Music Awards, graced the covers of Herlife and Blue Valley Today magazines and was featured in 435 South. Sarah also recently performed at the Selena Gomez/All Star Weekend concert, opened for Nickelodeon’s Big Time Rush at Mix 93’s Red White Boom, and was called to fill in for Miranda Cosgrove after her bus accident to perform with Cody Simpson in Wichita. She also shot her music video to “Skyscraper” in downtown Kansas City in the heart of the Power and Light District. Sarah said, “My hometown has given me so much support and I wanted my first music video to represent where I am from. Sarah McMullen's “Now Or Never” Named August “Best Song Of The Month”

Sarah McMullen, a promising, pop singer/songwriter based in Kansas City, KS, has won the SongwriterUniverse “Best Song Of The Month” Contest for August, for her song “Now Or Never" (co-written by Jonathan George, Andrew Lane & Kendra Pruitt). This song is included on current 3-song EP called Skyscraper, which she released independently in July (2011).
“Now Or Never" is a well-crafted pop uptempo song, which seems ideal for contemporary pop radio airplay. The recording has a modern, keyboard-based arrangement, and features a strong chorus section. McMullen sings this song with energy and emotion, particularly in the chorus. "Now Or Never" was adeptly produced by Jonathan George & Andrew Lane, with Lane playing the keyboard tracks. Notably, George is a vocal & performance coach and writer/producer who has worked with the Pussycat Dolls and Dream. Lane is a writer/producer who has worked on the High School Musical and Hannah Montana soundtracks, and worked with rock band Paramore.
JG Entertainment artist Temara Melek's music video for her first single, Pour it on Sweet, received 17 honors for her first day on youtube. The video has already 50,000 views the first day. The video stars Christian Beadles who is an internet sensation.

The concert is for Red, White, and Boom at World's of Fun in Kansas City, MO which is expecting over 10,000 people. One of Justin Bieber's first performances was at Red, White and Boom. Jonathan George Entertainment artist Sarah McMullen releases her official music video to her single Skyscraper. The video was released virally on July 20th at 11pm to many excited fans. Kansas' own Mix 93 DJ, Steve Serrano, appeared in the video as the DJ.
The video was released just one week before Sarah's performance with Big Time Rush, Ashlyn Huff, Auburn, and Shontelle at Red, White and Boom hosted at World's of Fun. The concert is July 23, 2011.
The video was directed by Jonathan George and Michael Wunsch from Outpost Worldwide in Kansas City. The video was filmed in downtown Kansas City in the Power and Light district on top of the Green Roof. Sarah wanted her first music video to be of her home town and the things and people she grew up with.

We are so extremely proud of two of our artists, Aaron Landon and Rylie Brown. They made it to the final 19 out of over 40,000 young talented kids for the up and coming TV show called Majors and Minors. What a blessing it is to have the opportunity to be seen by the top industry professionals, labels, song writers, etc in today's market. This is such an amazing accomplishment!!

When you listen to Sir Catanon’s music you will become obsessed with his songs and start dancing all over the place.My favorite song on his album has to be “Cry Baby” I can’t stop pressing the replay button, I am currently listening to that song while writing this. His music is very upbeat and will never get boring. I haven’t had the opportunity to see him perform live but I can tell that he has a lot of energy up on stage. Sir Castanon is inspired by the one and only Lady Gaga and has the showmanship of Adam Lambert. Does he look familiar to any of you? If he does then you might have seen him in the hit comedy movieClick alongside Adam Sandler, also in TV credits , including NCIS, ER andCrossing Jordan. He also performed in Ghost Whisperer and Comanche Moon that earned him two coveted Young Artist Awards. His song“Puppeteer” was also nominated for Pop Single of the Year at the 2011 LA Music Awards. Wow what a talented young man at age 13. Did I mention that he also toured with Cody Simpson! You can already tell that Sir Castanon is going places. If I could I would play his cd “Puppeteer” all over the world so everyone could hear his amazing rhythm, voice, and lyrics. He will be a fashion icon one day did anybody see these awesome shoes he wore:
